Founder & CEO

At The Spa Koh Chang Resort, we take pride in our organic vegetable garden. Our garden specialists, Kimseo and her team, carefully nurture the plants using a variety of methods to ensure their health and vitality.

Kimseo, with her extensive experience and knowledge in vegetable growing, is an asset to our wellness resort's vegetable garden team. Her expertise in natural fertilizers, pest control, and crop rotation helps to ensure the quality and health of our organic produce.

To start, we make our own organic fertilizer using buffalo manure, which is a natural source of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. This helps to enrich the soil and provide the necessary nutrients for our plants to thrive.

In addition, we also use fermented natural fertilizer from local fish, which helps to improve the soil quality and promotes healthy growth of our vegetables.

Once our vegetables are ready, they are handpicked by the kitchen staff at the appropriate time to ensure peak freshness and flavor. We grow a variety of vegetables including salad leaves, Chinese kale, bok choy, pumpkin, cucumber, and a variety of Thai herbs such as lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime, and basil.

We take great care to ensure that our vegetables are grown in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. Our organic farming practices help to reduce our environmental impact while also promoting healthy soil and plant growth.

Moving forward, we are committed to increasing the ratio of our own grown vegetables to the total restaurant consumption.

Our goal is to have 50% of our restaurant's vegetables come from our own garden by 2026, which will help us to further reduce our environmental impact and provide our guests with the freshest and healthiest ingredients possible. We look forward to continuing to expand our garden and increase the amount of our own grown vegetables in our restaurant's menu.
